Marilena Tarousi

Mrs. Marilena Tarousi is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Biomedical Engineering Laboratory at the National Technical University of Athens, since October 2015 and she prepares and teaches the undergraduate courses “Biomedical Technology Laboratory”. She holds a diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering (National Technical University of Athens) and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) & University of Patras. She has participated in a project concerning Biomedical Equipment Inventory Management, Development of a Biomedical Technology management subsystem in National Health System of Greece (E.S.Y.) and Integration of Information infrastructures and services for Health Technology assessment and management. She has also participated in European Union’s Horizon 2020 MSCA RISE Action under grant agreement No 645741, PROPHETIC, a project to exploit modern smart miniaturized systems and advanced information systems towards the development of an infrastructure facilitating the management of the Parkinson’s disease. She has a firm background in Clinical Decision Support Systems, Biomedical Signal Analysis and Mathematical Modeling. Her interests also involve Physiological Systems Modeling, Ontology-based Systems, Biological and Biomedical Systems Simulation and Biomedical Technology Management Systems and Analysis.
