Sudanthi Wijewickrema

Sudanthi holds a PhD in Computer Vision from Monash University, Australia. For the first 5 years of her postdoctoral career, Sudanthi worked in the industry as a Research and Development Engineer in the fields of Computer Vision, Image Processing, and Machine Learning. For the last 5 years she has been employed in the capacity of Research Fellow at the Department of Surgery, University of Melbourne. Here, Sudanthi's work is on simulated surgery, where Virtual Reality, Haptics, and Machine Learning technologies are integrated to create self-directed training solutions for surgeons.
