Kostas Giokas

Kostas Giokas, Esq has been an IT consultant since 1994, working in multiple firms and projects in London UK. He received a BSc in Information Systems from the University of Westminster a BSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering, an MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NTUA and an MBA from the UK Open University. He joined the Biomedical Engineering Laboratory of the National Technical University of Athens as an Information Systems’ Architect while consulting on National and European deployment projects. He is currently a Senior Research Scientist having lead more than a 100 proposals and run several EU and Nationally funded research projects. His research interests include most fields in the Health ICT domain, in particular mHealth. Since 2014 he is the Applied Informatics in mHealth (AiM) research team leader. He has published 65 papers and 18 chapters and has been invited as a speaker in major conferences and Healthcare Technology events. He is currently a mentor for Health-Tech Innovation Labs UK and a Social Media Ambassador for HIMSS (invited - eHealthWeek 2017, Malta). He is an invited speaker and Editor in Chief for EAI's eHealth360 to be held in Budapest in December 2017. He is the co-founder of HellasHost, InnovateLogic and MyPersonalTutor. He is a Computer Science consultant for IBO and a reviewer for Marie Curie and Eurostars.
